Robert Tyson

Robert is a veteran IT professional with over 40 years of experience in both domestic and international environments. With a broad background across IT, Robert brings a total IT perspective to his assignments. Leveraging process, tools, and organizational change management, he has led many transformational initiatives to successful results. Most recently, Robert has focused his efforts on the adoption of Agile/Scrum frameworks to improve delivery cycle times and to develop skills in client teams. Robert’s previous experience includes The Coca-Cola Company where he was the Director of Global Process Service Management, realizing a 5-fold improvement in global service levels.

Robert has served in a variety of roles including developer, project/program/portfolio manager, account management, and operations manager. Recognized for establishing common processes for running the business of IT, Robert’s experience spans a spectrum of business areas such as manufacturing, healthcare, publishing, finance, legal, and engineering. As an Agile Coach and Trainer, Robert is passionate about addressing students’ frustrations and using past techniques and personal experience to help guide them to success.

With three decades of experience in Information Technology Operations, Program Management, Process Engineering, and Management Consulting, Robert is a consummate teaching professional in business instruction. Starting with his time managing computer development and operations for C&S National Bank’s lockbox service and now owning and serving as a senior consultant for Winston Consulting, he has built a long career and an impressive skill set. Areas of expertise include information technology, business management, and SDLC methodologies.
